Shimmer3 EMG

Hardware Specifications

The Shimmer3 EMG (Electromyography) sensor is a wireless solution for recording the electrical activity of muscle contractions with two channels of EMG data, which can be measured simultaneously with 10DOF kinematic data. The unit also contains ECG functionality as standard.

The Shimmer3 EMG device is compatible with the iMotions ECG / EMG Module.

Powerful software

for powerful research

The iMotions EMG Module integrates multiple EMG devices from BIOPAC and Shimmer out of the box for flexible data collection options. For example, with iMotions you can monitor EMG from several muscle groups around the body at the same time, or open up even more possibilities with the iMotions API or other biosensors. The flexible software connects, records, and live visualizes data, and is a complete experimental suite for EMG.
