Feature Additions

• We added the option of an artefact rejection threshold for ECG processing
• It is now possible to extract the audio from a recorded video and store it as wav file. This makes it easier to then process the audio file in external software
• It is now possible to import eye tracking data recorded from ViewPointSystem glasses running on version v2.17.0. Also, importing data from ViewPointSystem is now possible using a PC running Windows 11

• We updated the channel labels for ABM B-alert X24 when running EEG cluster analysis with the PSD notebook. Previously, an incorrect labelling could lead to missing data in the export

• iMotions now supports Smart Eye Tracker software version 10.1.2. The Smart Eye Aurora now also shows better error messages when the Smart Eye SDK returns errors
• We fixed an issue with the A01 editor and Smart Eye Pro world images
• We fixed an issue with gaze point visualization in from Smart Eye Pro studies
• We fixed an issue that occurred when replaying Smart Eye Pro recordings with an external video attached
• We fixed a bug caused by editing the A01 time span duration 

GSR / EDA

• GSR/EDA epoch exports have been updated to avoid the use of non-numeric scientific notation (e.g. 5e-04).

Feature additions

• We have optimized the processing of the AFFDEX thresholding export. 
• Users will now be informed about potential Smart Eye Pro world model mismatches before starting a recording
• For Smart Eye Pro studies, we have added the ability to import externally recorded screen videos. These can then be embedded and replayed in the existing study recording. We have also added a new iMotions Capture Agent application to record screen data synchronized with iMotions.

• We have optimized the processing of various R export functions, including heart rate, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), respiration processing, FACET thresholding, and Realeyes processing. 
• We have expanded support for LSL connections of EMG devices
• We have updated and optimized the screen recording capabilities in iMotions. Screen recordings can now be completed in MP4 format, which utilizes the GPU and frees up the CPU for other tasks. This update also allows for the recording of system audio

• You can now edit and adjust more than one AOI simultaneously. This allows for moving, scaling, and rotating of multiple AOIs in unison

• We solved an issue that could reset the manually applied synchronization of eye tracking glasses data with other biosensors when a study was reimported into iMotions

• iMotions is now using the resolution of the stimulus when exporting large stimuli as an image with gazes (e.g. a long web scene), making its content better readable in the export

EEG

• We solved a newly introduced issue with the EEG signal processing not using the correct channels in studies run with the Neuroelectrics Enobio headset without an LSL device profile

Eye Tracking

• We solved an issue causing the wrong eye tracker to be preselected for online studies
• We fixed an issue of Gaze Mapping scene fragments not being generated when created from Annotations

• We cleaned up some small UI bugs related to defining AOIs

• You can now use small images or gifs as calibration points for Smart Eye Aurora, AI-X and Smart Eye Pro (in single screen setup) and manually adjust the location the calibration points will be shown at
• It is now possible to also sort studies by filesize in addition to name and date
• You can now run EEG signal processing for EEG data collected via LSL. This also allows you to collect data from EmotivPRO over LSL
• It is now possible to stream out recorded data over the API while it is being replayed
• We updated our integration with Lab Streaming Layer  (LSL) library to the latest version v1.15.2

GSR

• We fixed a bug when connecting Shimmer devices, leading to the message that iMotions failed to discover Bluetooth devices although they could successfully be detected

• You can now create studies with web surveys and test plans
• You can now include open text fields in web surveys generated with iMotions’ inbuilt survey tool
• We added metadata to the summary metrics exports, allowing you to identify the device used for data collection as well as the R notebook with which you processed the data. Data from multiple devices of the same modality are now organised in columns instead of rows. Because of this change, you might experience a longer load time the first time you open an already existing analysis

• We fixed an issue with parameter choices deviating from the default of some notebooks not being applied. If you created a new analysis in iMotions 9.0.8 through 9.0.11 using the EEG frontal asymmetry and GSR epoching notebooks, we recommend that you re-run the signal processing with this version
• We fixed an issue with the Advanced Segmentation not being shown when first respondent is untested

EEG

• We integrated the latest ABM B-Alert SDK, v.02.04.04.00 which offers a new metric, the Mu rhythm. This also fixes a disconnect issue during the impedance check. If you are currently connecting data, we recommend to first update once your study is completed

Feature additions

• Are you using iMotions Online Data Collection? If yes, do you work with surveys? If yes, you may be happy to hear that you are from now on able to create survey stimuli with iMotions’ own survey tool rather than having to rely on embedding an online link into your study
• You can now segment respondents based on the eye tracking gaze calibration quality

• You can now define what type of device you connected over LSL
• Online Data Collection studies will now always have to run in a 1920×1080 resolution
• The Metadata in your SensorData export now contains even more information about units, the nature of the signal, as well as a categorization of your channels. If you are using the channel identifier for your scripts, we recommend that you double check the headers in case they got changed (for data collected after this change)
• You can now start a Tobii Glasses 3 recording directly from iMotions and download data from the recording unit over WiFi
